A very good crowd greeted Jim and Roxane Gilmore in Henrico County on Wednesday. Here are a few pictures from the event.

Two TV stations were there and at least one newspaper, along with a lot of Henrico and Richmond elected officials and County/City committee members. I saw a lot of people I knew but could not greet many of them because I could not get around to them - it was too crowded to move around much! Which is good.

Former Gov. Gilmore drew a clear distinction between himself and his opponent:

1. Drill here, drill now, etc.! He’s for it. Warner knows this is a losing issue for Democrats and so he is being as vague as he can be about it…

2. Lower taxes

3. National security, a field in which Gilmore has splendid credentials and Warner has pretty much none at all.
