In this Politico story, Tom Delay says this (emphasis mine):

“The media has done more for John McCain in the last two days than he’s done for himself in the last year and a half,” DeLay said. “Trashing her is waking up the sleeping giant, and the sleeping giant is Republican women.”

He is so right. Compare and contrast Obama and Palin. Now look at how the media are sliming her. Lots of examples here collected by the Anchoress.

In fairness to Obama, he has actually suggested that the media leave Palin’s family alone. I appreciate his saying that, and no doubt he means it - he wouldn’t want the media going after his family like that either.

The media, however (the major media, the MSM)… they have beclowned themselves with their behavior since the Palin pick was announced.
